fuel up at cedar tree cafe

This week Fredericton hosts delegates from across the country for the Travel Media Association of Canada annual conference.  Each day I'm going to be sharing one of my favourite things about my little corner of the world.

No trip to Fredericton is complete without wandering down Queen Street (recently named Canada's Great Street) and exploring the downtown area.   To fuel an afternoon of  shops, galleries and historic sites, stop by the Cedar Tree Cafe home of the best coffee in the city.  They are supplied by New Brunswick's Down East Coffee,  family-owned coffee roasters and blenders from Notre-Dame-de-Kent. Whether you want a straight up espresso, a spicy three  or a pot of Middle Eastern coffee prepared traditionally, Cedar Tree will you keep going (Want a "regular coffee?" Order their Canadiano.)

Have time for a bite?  Their delicious and freshly made Middle Eastern dishes features products from local producers.   Local flavour isn't limited to the menu.  The Cedar Tree also showcases work of up-and-coming Fredericton artists and live music from local and visiting singers and bands.  Check out this week's offerings:

Did you know? In February Fredericton-native, Juno-winner and international singing star Measha Brueggergosman recorded part of her new album "I've Got a Crush on You" during an intimate concert at the Cedar Tree Cafe.
